Valerie Briell, DVM

Dr. Valerie Briell grew up on a ranch nearby in Seguin, Texas where she fell in love with animals of all kinds. After graduating from Seguin High School she attended Baylor University and earned a B.S. in biochemistry. Dr. Briell is a 2020 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Right after vet school she practiced at a private vet clinic in Maryland, just outside Washington D.C. She loved this part of the country but Texas called her home. Dr. Briell is very happy to be back close to family and thrilled to be part of the Animal Care Center family since January 2022. She loves helping both pets and their owners through compassionate care throughout all stages of a pet's life.

In her free time, Dr. Briell enjoys spending time with her husband, Jorge, and their terrier mix dog, Maya. Together they enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, and watching movies.
